Why I Gave Up On The Mario Badescu Rosewater Spray

So this post will be a mini rant/reason why I had to get rid of my Mario Badescu Rosewater Spray completely. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while now, you will know that I’m a fan of Mario Badescu products. But sadly, I did find an issue with the rosewater spray that almost everyone seems to rave about continuously.

Recently, I’ve been on a skin cleansing journey, where I take my time to properly take good care of my skin to prevent acne and blemishes. During this time, I would go through all my skincare products to determine what works best and eliminate what doesn’t. Unfortunately, while doing this, I stumbled upon my Mario Badescu Rosewater Spray and felt heartbroken.

I had tried for months to like this product simply because I love how it soaks in my makeup and gives it a more natural look. But the side effects this spray gives are really where the issue is for me.

BACKSTORY…

For the longest time during my skincare journey, I’ve always looked for the culprit for my acne. I had thrown out so many other products thinking that such were responsible for causing my breakouts, but little did I know that this Mario Badescu Rosewater spray was what was causing the damage.

How Did I Figure This Out?

Well, a few weeks back, I completely cut off makeup application for a short period to give my skin more time to breathe. During this period, I went about my regular skincare routine but ensured that I wasn’t leaving any products on my skin for a long time. Instead, I relied solely on facial sprays and skipped moisturizing overall, as my skin wasn’t really in need of the extra moisture.

Then The Horror Happened

I woke up one morning to a ton of breakouts on my skin, wondering how it happened, especially since I was following my trusted skincare routine.

There had to be something that was causing it.

So, as usual, I ignored the facial spray and started checking the water system of my apartment and just a ton of other irrelevant things that weren’t responsible for my breakouts.

Because of all the positive reviews about the Mario Badescu Rosewater spray, I automatically convinced myself to like the product without thinking twice about its effectiveness.

So, while searching for my acne culprit, I decided to give up everything, including the facial sprays. Instead, I would wash with a regular cleanser and go straight to bed. I have more of a normal to combination skin type, so getting dry wasn’t a problem.

This Time Around, I Noticed A Difference.

I had no breakouts whatsoever. My skin legit felt like a baby’s ass.

I should have continued with the same routine, but I was silly and decided to hop back to using my Mario Badescu facial spray.

And you probably guessed it.

My crazy acne came back again!

So obviously, I had to throw it out completely. And since then, I haven’t had any issues.

Other Recommendations To The Mario Badescu Rosewater Spray.

Although I didn’t want to ditch the brand altogether, I decided to head to Ulta a couple of weeks back and purchase an entirely different facial spray from them. So I picked up the Mario Badescu facial spray with Aleo, Cucumber, and Green tea.

This spray is AMAZING, and it doesn’t break me out whatsoever. I’m happy that I didn’t altogether ditch the brand and decided to try something different.

I recommend this spray if you want to pick up something from this brand.

Let me know in the comments if you have tried any of the products I mentioned.
