For the past few years, I’ve been using the Neutrogena Rapid Clear Stubborn Acne cleanser and I decided to share my review of this product with you guys.
So basically, my skin isn’t necessarily the best. I tend to break out every once in a while and I find that each time I use this particular cleanser on my skin, a lot of wonders happen.
I don’t necessarily believe this product does all the magic (because several other factors play a role in getting perfect skin). But I do believe it has contributed to preventing serious breakouts from happening.
If you are considering purchasing this item, I will be giving you my pros and cons, because there are some things I love about it as well as some things I completely dislike about it. Overall, it does help in treating stubborn acne, so I’m not too salty about it.

Neutrogena Rapid Clear Stubborn Acne
I personally use this product every other day, especially when I see traces of acne on my skin. And it really does a great job at getting rid of my acne. However, I don’t recommend using it on a regular basis (especially if you have sensitive skin). Because it does contain about 10% benzoyl peroxide.
Pros:
- Helps Treat Stubborn Acne
- Keeps further breakout under control
- Little product goes a long way
Cons:
- Very thick (making it difficult to apply)
- Leaves a tingling sensation on the skin
I personally like that it helps treat my acne. However, I don’t like the tingling sensation I feel each time I apply it. As a result, I tend to drench my face with a lot of water before applying it just to minimize any stinging sensation.
If you don’t have sensitive skin, you may still get a little burning sensation if you apply it. So I advise you to use a lower concentration to prevent that from happening.
On the other hand, if your skin is very sensitive, I don’t recommend this product for you. From my experience, even at lower concentrations, I still get that burning feeling on my skin.
That being said, I love the performance of this product. And it has been a go-to of mine for the past few years in treating my breakouts. So if you want to give it a try, I’d like to know how it turns out for you.
